About the winery
Joan Sardà is an Alt Penedès winery that the Cava Regulatory Council places in Castellví de la Marca, by the road from Vilafranca to Sant Jaume dels Domenys. The house stands around Masia Olivella, a 17th-century farmhouse that bears witness to a long winemaking tradition on the estate. Its wines and cavas aim to be faithful to the Penedès, to its landscape and to its most traditional varieties, which are what give each bottle its character, and they work with a commitment to respect the land that is their home. Within the D.O. Cava it makes Guarda and Guarda Superior Reserva cavas, as well as still wines from the Penedès.
