About the winery
Mas Blanch i Jové is the project the Jové family founded in 2006 in La Pobla de Cérvoles, in the Les Garrigues subzone of the D.O. Costers del Segre, on the western edge of the Priorat. It works 25 hectares of mountain vineyards above 700 metres, certified organic and hand-harvested, on poor clay-limestone soils. The winery, designed at the outset by the painter Josep Guinovart, is clad in stone from the estate itself, has a planted roof and runs almost entirely on solar power. Its wines include Troballa Blanc, Saó Blanc, Saó Abrivat and Saó Expressiu. Visits combine a tour of the winery with tastings of wine and organic olive oil and a walk through La Vinya dels Artistes, an open-air art space among the vines and olive trees.
