About the winery
Mélida Wines is a signature winery in Mélida (Valladolid), about 3 kilometres from Peñafiel, right in the Golden Mile of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. It is a project run by a team of women who want to bring a different, peaceful kind of leisure to the countryside, combining wine, food and rest. Besides the winery, it has a restaurant, a rural guesthouse and the Club Barrica, an experience in which you make your own wine as if you were a winemaker. Winery visits are personalised, by prior reservation, and include a tasting of barrel samples and finished wines, in a small village surrounded by historic vineyards.
