About the winery
Meóriga was born with a clear vocation to preserve our winemaking roots by recovering and promoting the Prieto Picudo variety, possibly the only grape that, from the last century until the 1950s, was clearly identified with a single type of wine and a traditional winemaking method: naturally semi-sparkling “vino de aguja”. Meóriga has 65 hectares of its own vineyards, 75% of which are planted with the area's unique native variety, Prieto Picudo.
