Nilva is the project of Argimiro Martínez Moreno, an agricultural engineer born into a winegrowing family from Hellín, who discovered Manilva and its vineyards in 2011 and founded Nilva Enoturismo in 2014. In this Costa del Sol town, traditionally devoted to Moscatel de Alejandría, much of the vineyard has disappeared under urban development pressure, and the project aims to save the old vines that remain. Its winery has a very small output, almost garage-scale, and makes dry Moscatel wine, fresh, aromatic and with a salty touch from the nearby sea, in Nilva Original and Nilva Ecológico versions. The guided tour includes the Viñas de Manilva Interpretation Centre, the winery and the Viña del Peñoncillo vineyard, with a tasting of Moscatel wines and tapas.
