La Jaraba lies on the historic site of the same name, between the municipalities of Villarrobledo and El Provencio, in the very heart of La Mancha. Historic finds of Palaeolithic settlements have shown the virtues of this land for farming and livestock. Iberians, Romans, Visigoths and Arabs found a unique enclave here to set up their camps. La Jaraba takes its name from the Arabs, who defined it as “land abundant in water”.
