Páramo de Corcos is a family winery in Moradillo de Roa (Burgos), in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. The Camarero Bajo family has five generations on this land; it was Javier Camarero who planted the first vines in the eighties, and today his children share the winery, vineyard and management. They organically farm around 30 hectares of Tinta del País at about 970 metres, on a high plateau of sandy soils with surface pebbles next to the woods of La Serrezuela, grafted with buds from old vineyards in the area. They have chosen to make a single wine, Páramo de Corcos. The El Cotarro experience lets visitors discover the family's underground cellars and century-old wine press, which they are restoring.
