About the winery
Our El Toleiro vineyard was the largest wine estate in El Bierzo. A total of 32 hectares grouped around the Casar, forming a single vineyard. Based on soil composition and orientation, it is divided into four zones: Toleiro, Toleiro Superior, Las Chas and Cavanelas. These are subdivided into plots (“pagos”), whose names are taken from local uses and customs. Most of El Toleiro is almost a field of stones, undoubtedly one of the factors behind its quality. For example, in the “Las Chas” plot, the composition – down to 30 cm.
