About the winery
The Portal del Montsant winery was founded in 2003 in the old Marçà cooperative, a building devoted to winemaking since the beginning of the last century. This emerging Montsant winery stands out for its work with the area's historic varieties: Garnacha and Cariñena. Its subtle, fragrant and complex wines take their name from the founder of the Carthusian monastic order, Saint Bruno of Cologne; the Carthusians were present in the Priorat district from 1194 and promoted vine growing.
