About the winery
Sarral lies in the middle of the Conca de Barberà, a district with a deep-rooted winemaking tradition. The winery, built in 1914 under the auspices of the Mancomunitat de Catalunya, is the work of the illustrious architect Pere Domènech i Roura, the result of the collective effort of local farmers to raise a rational building of great architectural value, pioneering in bringing technical, constructive and oenological standards to the agricultural industry. Àngel Guimerà dubbed it one of the “Cathedrals of Wine” because of its magnificence.
