About the winery

In 1730 the Osorio y Pimentel family built the Palacio de Canedo. They chose a healthy, high site facing south. The land, on a gentle slope for perfect drainage, was ideal for vines. In 1761 it is documented that its cellar stored 170 “miedros” (32,540 litres) of new wine every year within its walls of ashlar, wood and slate. Since then wine has been the treasure and heritage of this house. Ecology and tradition go hand in hand when you are committed to respecting the land.
