About the winery
Privat is a cava brand that committed to organic viticulture from the start: all its sparkling wines come from certified organic grapes, grown without herbicides or pesticides. Its vineyard is Finca L'Almirall, in Castellví de la Marca, in the Penedès, with vines over forty years old, woodland that supports biodiversity and limestone and clay soils. There they grow the traditional cava varieties, Xarel·lo, Macabeo and Parellada, along with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and pick early to keep acidity and freshness. Its look is inspired by Barcelona, with labels showing keys drawn over the city's paving stones. The range includes Privat Brut Nature Reserva, Brut Reserva, Brut Nature Rosé, Brut Nature Reserva Chardonnay and Atelier Gran Reserva.
