Rioja Vega

◍ Navarra

About the winery

Rioja Vega is a D.O.Ca Rioja winery in the Navarre part of the appellation, beside the road linking Logroño and Mendavia. It was established in 1882, before the appellation itself existed, and its most representative vineyards surround the winery. It works with traditional Rioja varieties, some of them almost forgotten: Tempranillo and Tempranillo Blanco, Garnacha Blanca, Maturana Tinta and Maturana Blanca, and Graciano. Its range runs from the 1882 line in white, rosé and red and the Colección Tempranillo to the classic Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva, varietal Maturana and Graciano wines, a Tempranillo Blanco Reserva, the 140 Aniversario and Venta Jalón Reserva Especial. Visits combine a walk through the vineyard, a tour of the winery and a tasting.
