Señorio de Librares

◍ La Rioja

About the winery

Señorío de Librares is a small family winery in El Villar de Arnedo, in Rioja Oriental and within the D.O.Ca. Rioja. It is run by the third generation, who want to keep their grandfather's tradition while adding their own style; the family has been in wine for more than a century, and at the 1878 Universal Exhibition in Paris their great-grandfather Pedro María Espinosa won a gold medal. They grow Rioja varieties: Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha and Mazuelo for their reds and rosé, and Viura and Tempranillo Blanco for the white. The range includes a white, a rosé, a joven, crianza, reserva, Selección from vines over 40 years old, and El Marujo, made from organic Tempranillo.
