In 1947 Alfredo Ordóñez Onís founded a cider house on the La Alameda estates, in Nava, a land that already then had a deep cider-making tradition. His mother, Carmen, ran a very well-known cider bar in Nava, Casa Angelón. When Alfredo looked for a name for his first cider, he did not hesitate to combine the memory of his mother with the figure of his late father, and so Sidra Vda. de Angelón was born, paying tribute to her with its name and its image.
