Siluvio is a small winery in Cecos, in the municipality of Ibias, in south-western Asturias, and one of the wineries of the D.O.P. Vino de Cangas. It was founded in 2017 by Ladislao Méndez León, known as Lalo, who spent over thirty years as a wine merchant, and his wife, Leticia Sobrino, to revive an almost lost winemaking tradition in an area where wine has been made since Roman times. Its mountain vineyards, with an Atlantic climate, are worked by hand; around 80% is Albarín Blanco, known locally as Blanco Verdín, and the rest Carrasquín, Verdejo Negro and Albarín Negro. It makes Albarín Blanco and Tinto Cantábrico, aged in French oak or on lees. The visit takes in the vineyard, explains winemaking and the native varieties, stops at the barrel room and ends with a tasting.
