About the winery

Tierras de Mollina is the company that markets the bottled wines of S.C.A. Virgen de la Oliva, the wine cooperative of Mollina, in the north of the province of Málaga. The brand was born in 1993, after research work in the local vineyards in which several red varieties were planted to find out which were best suited to the climate and soil. It works with two designations: under D.O. Sierras de Málaga it makes whites, rosés and reds, such as the Grandes de Apiane range, from Moscatel and Syrah, or the Montespejo reds; under D.O. Málaga, naturally sweet and liqueur wines, including the añejo and trasañejo of the Carpe Diem label, drawn from soleras dating back to 1809 and to the former owners, the Scholtz family. It also produces a sweet Moscatel sparkling wine, Apiane.
