Tihom

About the winery

Tihom is a family winery in the Barrio de la Estación of Haro, in the D.O.Ca Rioja, surrounded by historic wineries. Behind it are Nuria Vitores, a communicator with a design background who handles the brand image, and Jorge Muga, from a well-known Rioja wine family, who after two decades leading winemaking at the family firm now devotes himself to seeking out special corners of the valley. They bought and restored an old building whose structural problems meant cutting large concrete blocks with a diamond saw, which became their emblem. The name joins the Spanish words for lands and men. They aim for both classic and new wines, with special attention to whites and rosés, in two ranges: THM, in white, rosé and red, and Tihom white and red. The visit ends with a tasting of three wines with tapas.
