About the winery
Torres Prunera is a small family cava cellar in the centre of Vilafranca del Penedès. Its story begins with grandfather Jaume, born in 1931 at Cal Catantingues, a farmhouse in Sant Miquel d'Olèrdola, who after the post-war years married grandmother Teresa: together they started out as wine merchants and makers and later ventured into cava. In 1986, with their children Anna M. and Santi, they founded the Torres Prunera cavas. They work in a traditional, artisanal way with grapes from their own district, at the pace of the vineyard, and their range brings together a Brut Nature, a Reserva, a Gran Reserva, a Rosé and a chardonnay cava.
