About the winery

Uvaguilera is a winery in La Aguilera, near Aranda de Duero (Burgos), in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. It was founded in 1999 by Martiniano Palomero and Sebastián Cabrerizo, businessmen with a long track record in the area. It sits within the La Aguilera woodland and has 10 hectares of its own vineyard next to the winery, plus another 12 in small plots in nearby villages, with vines averaging over 70 years old. It ferments in stainless steel tanks and ages in barrels from several cooperages. Its wines include Palomero Nueva Era Crianza, Manjar de Silos Reserva and the Septiembre range, with an oak-aged red and a rosé.
