About the winery
Viñedos y Bodegas Áster is the La Rioja Alta group's winery in the D.O. Ribera del Duero, located in Anguix (Burgos). It works only with Tinta del País from the plots surrounding the winery, such as Fuentecojo, La Cueva and El Otero, on silty loam soils at around 780 metres. Grapes are hand-picked into small crates and the wines are aged in French oak barrels. The range comprises Áster, Áster El Espino and Áster Finca El Otero. Guided visits through the vineyard and winery include a tasting with tapas, and they also offer vertical tastings of Finca El Otero, winery lunches, bike rides with a picnic among the vines, and a wine bar with a shop.
