In the easternmost part of the Ribera del Duero (Soria), at high altitude, we find old majuelos (small vineyard plantings) where their unyielding vines struggle to survive. The weather is marked by an extreme continental climate, with very little rain, a long and freezing winter, and a short and equally extreme summer.
