About the winery

Vinos del Viento is the winery that Michael Cooper, a winemaker born in Santa Barbara (California), built with his wife Rosario in Pozuelo de Aragón, within the D.O. Campo de Borja. The name comes from the cierzo, the wind that sweeps the Ebro valley. Michael specialises in single-vineyard wines from old vines, dry-farmed and in conversion to organic, using biodynamic preparations, renewable energy in the winery and light recycled bottles. He works mainly with red and white Garnacha and Cariñena, alongside Viognier, Tempranillo and Viura. His range is broad and full of character: Montecito, Romeroso, Ermita Santa Bárbara, Clos de la Ros, Carifornication, Vedrà Viognier, the orange Amber and the pet nat WannaBe.
