About the winery
Vinya Escudé is the brand of Celler Jordi Lluch, a winery in the Les Casetes del Raspall area of Sant Quintí de Mediona, in the heart of the Alt Penedès. They have been working since 1984 and control the whole process, from growing their 25 hectares of vines to making wines and cavas in limited quantities. Their cavas are organic and of Reserva category, with single-variety xarel·lo and macabeo Brut Natures, a pinot noir rosé and the Daurat and 523 labels, as well as wines such as the white Mil Paraules. The winery visit lasts almost two hours, takes in the Penedès landscape and the house's artisanal winemaking, and ends with a tasting of four to six wines, cava included.
