Seville lives in its tapas bars. Fried fish (pescaíto), spinach with chickpeas, pork cheek (carrillada) and oxtail sit alongside the Iberian ham of the Sierra Norte and the goat cheeses of the dehesa. In Cazalla, moreover, a long-famous anisette is distilled.

The local wines pair well with this cuisine: the fortified wines and musts of Lebrija enhance the stews and fried dishes, while a Jerez fino refreshes the aperitif. Table olives, the glory of the Sevillian countryside, are the obligatory bite before any meal.

The Giralda, the cathedral and the Real Alcázar concentrate the splendour of centuries of blended cultures in the capital. The Plaza de España, the Torre del Oro and the Triana quarter complete a heritage that breathes art, ceramics and flamenco at every step.
