About the winery

J.F. Arriezu is a family winery in the Ribera of Navarre whose story goes back to the grandparents, who started out in San Adrián. José Félix Arriezu, trained in viticulture and oenology and with experience on projects in Mexico and Spain, began making wine in 1999, and his first bottling came in 2013 with a Verdejo from his La Sombría estate in Pozaldez. Since the 1990s they have been committed to organic farming and today they focus on natural wines without sulphites and on biodynamics, with organic and vegan wines. They make wine in the DOCa Rioja, with reds from Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo, a rosé, a natural Graciano and Viña Alto del Chupete, a Garnacha, and in the DO Rueda, with Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc and E de Esperanza.
