Bobal reigns on the Utiel-Requena plateau, giving fresh reds and rosés; monastrell defines the powerful reds of Alicante, also home to the legendary Fondillón; and moscatel perfumes the sweet Mediterranean wines that made the region famous. In Castellón, the I.G.P. Castelló is reviving the inland vineyard.
